Are You the One?

After a long hiatus, we return to Matthew's Gospel chapter 11! Immediately we find this question to Jesus from John the Baptist: 'Are you the one?' There is no question more important in our lives and for all eternity than this one.

Vision Sunday

This Sunday is Vision Sunday! We will zoom out and get a 30,000-foot view of where we are heading and what we should be focusing on as a church. God is doing some remarkable things in and through New King, and we believe there are big things in store for us in the days ahead. Come and learn about the ways God is leading and how you can get in on it. 

A Witness of Power

You have knowledge of the Gospel and of repentence, so why do you still feel weak and ineffective? There could be a few reasons! But what if it's because you have not received by faith the promise of power? Join us this Sunday as we discuss the mighty power of the Spirit at work! 

Commissioning Sunday

This weekend we were excited to celebrate the St. Albans church plant of Redeemer Church! In honor of that, we have a team-teaching with Pastor Ben and Pastor Michael Badger (soon to be pastor of Redeemer Church) on Jeremiah 1:1-12. This is what it's all about, seeing the kingdom advance through the multiplication of healthy, Christ-exalting churches. 

The Ten Commandments

This Sunday, Pastor Ben preached a message on the Ten Commandments and what they tell us about our awesome God. We tend to look at the Ten Commandments as a stand alone list of rules, but taken in the context of the unfolding story in Exodus, the Ten Commandments were so much more than just a list of rules. They were an introduction to the God who had just rescued the Israelites from Egypt. This week we’ll see what things we can learn about who God is by looking at the Ten Commandments.

Easter Sunday

Easter is a time of remembering the resurrection of our great King Jesus and what this day means to believers and the life we live day to day until we see Him again. Join us as we learn what our faith in Jesus calls us to and to celebrate the goodness of the gospel proclaimed in Jesus!

Unshakable: God is Completing His Work in Us

We've learned so much about the complete grace we receive in Christ through faith. He's our perfect sacrifice, our High Priest, etc. So if His work is complete, is His work IN US complete? Not yet! Join us to strengthen your faith for the work ahead.

Unshakable: Victory Over the Accuser

Over the last three weeks, we’ve learned of the unshakable grace we have through Jesus that gives us a clear conscious before God.  However, many times we find our very position before God attacked with thoughts like “God doesn’t really love me” or “my Christian life is just a hoax- who am I kidding?” or “I can’t talk to my friend about Jesus- I’m such a failure.” This Sunday, we’ll look at an amazing portion of scripture that will give us insight as to where these accusations come from and how to have victory over them.

Unshakable: Confident in God's Presence

We were made to be satisfied by one thing alone...the presence of God. Under the New Covenant of grace, we have been given access to his presence, but it's up to us to draw near. How do we draw near to a holy God when we are so far from holy? How can we have confidence to approach a God who is so awesome? This week we learn the answers to these crucial questions and gain the confidence to enjoy the amazing God who created us.
