Exodus: Sing to the Lord

In our sermon series this week we will be in Exodus 15:1-21. Here Moses, Miriam, and the people sing a song of praise to the Lord because of how He freed Israel from slavery in Egypt. We will see, in the same way, Jesus is worthy of praise because of how He has freed His people from slavery to sin. Join us Sunday as we praise the Lord and study His word together. (Exodus 15:1-21)

Exodus: The Great Crossover

This week, we're at the climax of the story, the crossing of the Red Sea. The Israelites find themselves hemmed in- on one side is the dreaded sea and on the other, the Egyptian war machine is advancing bent on violence. And they're paralyzed with fear! It seems there is much violence around us and we feel like we're drowning in the sea. And we're afraid. Come to New King this Sunday and see what God does in situations like this. Exodus 14

Unity in the Body

This week we are taking a break in our study in Exodus to focus on the theme of unity. To do this we will answer a couple important questions like: what is the foundation for our unity as believers? And, when life within the body is difficult how do we maintain unity? As we will see, the foundation and sustaining source of our unity is found in Christ’s finished work on the cross.

Exodus: Celebrations in the Wilderness

We are continuing our study in Exodus this Sunday where the Israelites have been freed from slavery and are now beginning their journey to the promised land. In this week's passage we will see God give important instructions about how the Israelites and their future generations will remember how God freed them. Exodus: Deliverance from God

This week we are back in the book of Exodus after a few weeks off. We jump back in at the climax of the tenth plague where all the firstborn in Egypt die. Exodus: I Will Redeem You

This week, as we continue in our sermon series in Exodus, we are going to stop to study an important biblical theme that begins in Exodus. The theme of redemption. We will look at how Exodus talks about redemption and how the New Testament talks about the true and better redemption that can only be found in Jesus. We hope you will Join us!

Exodus: Behold the Lamb

We've been in the book of Exodus the last couple of months and last week we came to the final plague and at the center of it, is an innocent, helpless lamb. This week we'll take a break from Exodus and see that the Lamb is actually a key theme in scripture, from the Old Testament to the New Testament.  As John the Baptist exhorts us, come on Sunday and Behold the Lamb!

Exodus: The Passover

After studying plagues one through nine last week we now come to the tenth plague. Here God gives a warning about the final plague and how Israel can be protected from it. In these verses we will see how God gives Israel complete freedom from slavery and how these verses point us to complete freedom through Jesus death on the cross. Exodus 11:1-12:28

Exodus: Signs & Wonders

This Sunday we are back in the book of Exodus. The focus of our study will be on God enacting the plagues against Egypt. We will see the sovereignty of God on display as He not only defends His people but He also will deliver His people. Exodus: A Call to Worship

We're in the book of Exodus and we're seeing this troubling situation where God hardens Pharaoh's heart yet still holds him accountable for his actions. This unsettles us and our immediate response is to get angry and cry "Foul! That's unjust!" Paul deals with this topic in Romans 9 and uses a number of Old Testament passages to show us something profound about ourselves and more importantly, something utterly profound and unexpected about God.  And surprisingly, the result won't be anger, confusion, or doubt.  It will be worship!
